I'm restoring my gauges and used water and a cotton ball to clean the gauge faces.

I wasn't thinking......

The gauge numbers are silk screened back and the factory and the paint is very delicate.

The water removed some of the paint and the numbers are very thin now.

Use a very soft brush if you have to, but best to leave as is.
