1950 Willys pickup with F161 motor

Hey guys,Not so new to the forum, but couldn’t figure out how to post a thread on the site. I have a 1950 pickup with a hurricane f head 161 motor in it. Obviously as you guys know not the original motor took me a while to figure out exactly what it was. I’ve already got the engine out of the truck and have been working on trying to get it running. Got it turning over but not exactly popping yet. Would like to keep this engine even though it’s not stock for the truck it’s still a willys motor and would like to keep it that way. I’m looking to see if anyone has a crankshaft oil slinger for it by chance. Also I wasn’t given a title for the truck just bill of sale. I saw a couple people posting on eBay for title and data plate for sale, but I was to late. Wondering if anyone had one out there for sale. Or know anyone selling a whole truck body with title. I bet the crankshaft oil slinger is the same for a 134 F or L head engine. Is yours bad or missing? got a pic of it?
Do you have a data plate at all on your truck?

Hey there,

i ended up finding the oil slinger at Midwest Willys.com. It was all shattered when I opened up the timing cover. I do have a day at plate, but no vin number that I can seem to find. Looked at the seat riser haven’t completely inspected every inch of the frame but so far no luck. Will attach the picture of my data plate. I don’t know if they would count the 14052 as the vin number or not. Not really sure how that would work.

Oh shoot! I feel like a dummy haha. So I should be able to go to the DMV and just apply for a lost title then?

I’ve looked up that number to to make sure the year of cab because the motor was different. I didn’t know they actually used that as the vin number as well. Thank you for your help!
