Hello All,

Joining this forum for a friend who is looking to sell is CJ-2A! I'm not as knowledgeable on the Jeep front (more of a BMW 2002 guy) but this forum seemed like a great place to start. Any thoughts on where to best put his Jeep up for sale and what a fair price would be is greatly appreciated. Here is some info about the car and pictures that he provided. Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks guys!

The designation of this vehicle is CJ-2A manufactured in 1946 (maybe 1945 after WW2). The actual production started on July 17,1945. These Jeeps are different than the Military models in several ways. The most obvious is it has an outside fuel filler instead of under the seat and instead of the recessed headlight it has a larger flush mounted unit. The CJ-2A has a T-90 transmission instead of the weaker T-84 and is rated 40% stronger.

This CJ-2A has a column shift SN:# 11928 which was the 103rd one manufactured. Willys made a number of these column shifts ending at SN 38221and then returned to the floor shift as it was more economical. This feature makes it a desirable collectors item.

The intended purpose of the CJ-2A was to provide a wide variety of accessories and options. It had a power takeoffs in front, rear and center available. All of these features for farming. This Jeep has none of these.

I bought the jeep 12 years ago in 2017 and have driven it under 200mi. Have never used for anything except for 2 mile drives around the block to keep things lubed.

Welcome to the forum from SW Washington. Try Craigslist, ewillys.com, classifieds on this forum and ebay if you are familiar with selling cars there. Great looking CJ.

Welcome aboard. I’d sent the info along to Dave Eilers at EWillys.com. He will post your ad for free or re-post a Craigslist ad. You also can get an idea of asking (sellers’) prices there.

That one looks nice and clean. Any rust or problems with it?
