Eight hour round trip to bring this beauty home. 1971 Jeepster Commando, 225 v6/th400. very original and very little rust. Engine starts right up 50 psi oil pressure, needs transmission work (probably overhaul) and radiator needs rebuilding. Brakes work, lights work, turn signals, windshield wipers and heater fan all work. Needs an interior, seats and headliner need replaced. 23FE6595-D7BA-475D-95BE-82CB5D1DCBDA.jpeg9814165A-DD55-4396-B372-1B6AAB8A2B44.jpeg24D971CB-315E-4C1B-9DA0-C2C2B53C57D3.jpegC454DB36-0D73-4059-87C9-F543DB203555.jpeg

That is an awesome Jeep if I must say so myself. Looking forward to updates!

Nice find ! Always liked that color and the later ones had the Saginaw steering . I had a super clean 70 for a few years until I got the bug to get a wagon and I sold it .
( as always I kinda regret selling it … prices have really gone up on Jeepsters ) .

I am in awe at the condition and completeness! That has the single lever Spicer 20 transfer case, right? That drivetrain is essentially bulletproof with that combo. Not enough engine to overpower anthing yet plenty of power for the vehicle! Wow!

You are correct!

Yes, that’s the plan. My buddy used a product called Pappy’s on his ‘66 fleetside GMC, I may have to try it.
