So, out for a drive, everything felt and sounded just fine. Came to a stop sign, and my ‘48 failed to proceed. Motor running, normal resistance on clutch(linkage good into bell housing), shifting feels like it is going easily into all gears. OD in or out makes no difference, no strange noises.

All thoughts and suggestions greatly appreciated. Clutch has had a bit of chatter when pulling off for the past five years.

Color me Stumped…..

I would look at the OD cable and make sure it is both tight and adjusted to allow full movement on the OD shifter at the tranny. If that is OK perhaps the governor or solenoid are not working. I am thinking if it is shifting into all gears OK tells me not a tranny problem. I'm no mechanic just kind of guessing, let us all know what you find.

Sounds like the clutch is slipping. Adjust for more free play on the pedal and see if that helps.

Possible, but it went from 100% to 0

Good to hear, thanks for letting us know.
